This tremolo circuit goes back nearly 15 years for me, when I built the first one on a breadboard and recorded the end of a guitar cable hitting a string between nails and some conduit pipes on a board which became the intro for “a Departure” on the record Wildlife. CWS006 was my most used pedal by far, living on my pedalboard for over 12 years, and getting destroyed in the harshest conditions imaginable. In 2024 I retired it (it still worked) and replaced it on my board with the first TREM, almost unchanged from what it has become now. This pedal has found it’s way on every LD record since Wildlife, on songs like “Hudsonville MI 1956,” “There You Are (Hiding Place),” “Environmental Catastrophe Film,” and “Saturation Diver.”
